The "Marty" approach to small business networking began 25 years ago when small business owner and KC Native, Dave Rizer, was looking for a way small business networking events could generate more quality referrals.
In 1993, Dave and several small business owners agreed on a plan. They would meet regularly, get to know each other first and let business take care of itself. This small business networking approach came to be known as "Martying" and the events themselves as "Martys". It offered an environment where small business owners could share their story, learn about their peers, and discuss what was and wasn't working. As comfort and trust levels grew, the number of referrals began to climb. Twenty five years later we're still "Martying" and churning out more referrals than ever.
